COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES
PHASE 2

The below policies will be reevaluated and updated as we transition through Washington’s Safe Start Phases.
The following procedures are mandatory and will be complied with to satisfy the latest CDC requirements for operating safely Music Instruction at Sound Academy of Music.

EFFECTIVE JUNE 15, 2020

In an effort to maintain a healthy environment at my teaching studios during the current pandemic, I pledge to:

Wear a mask.

Check my temperature each day prior to teaching and will additionally check students temperature upon request.

Wash and / or sanitize hands frequently.

Regularly clean and sanitize my studios and common area including chairs, cables and furniture.

Provide hand sanitizer for students upon entry into studio.

Credit prepaid students in need of rescheduling due to an illness.

Offer online lessons versus in studio option for students who are self quarantining or prefer such instruction.


​I kindly and respectfully request that students:
​

Refrain from entering the studio if you or any family members have or have had a cough, fever, shortness of breath, difficulties breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced a loss of taste or smell in the past 14 days.

Limit occupancy to 1 guest per student per lesson.

Please consider wearing a mask for your safety as well as the safety of others.

Plan to arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to each lesson.

Limit occupancy to 2 persons in waiting area at a time.

Supply your own personal instrument cable if studying electric guitar or bass.

Please bring only essential items needed for lessons.

Refrain from bringing food or beverages into the studio.

Students are encouraged to pay for lessons online monthly via Venmo reduce Paypal transaction fees.

​Checks and cash are also accepted and would be appreciated in an envelope.
